Why the 2026 Update installs like a monthly patch

How to get the Windows 11 2026 Update
If your device is running Windows 11, versions 25H2 or 24H2 and is eligible, you can grab the update directly from Windows Update.

That means 24 months of support for Home and Pro editions, and 36 months of support for Enterprise and Education editions.
