American Truck Simulator is finally crossing the border. For years, the simulation has been strictly domestic, but developer SCS Software has confirmed that the game’s next major expansion will take players into Canada. The British Columbia DLC marks the first time the franchise has officially left United States soil.
Confirmed cities in British Columbia
SCS Software has released a list of locations that will appear in the new map pack. While Vancouver is notably absent from this initial reveal, the developer promises more communities are on the way. The current confirmed list includes:
- Grand Forks
- Creston
- Sparwood
- Invermere
- Golden
- Princeton
- Campbell River
This selection suggests a broad coverage of southern British Columbia, stretching from Vancouver Island in the west to areas near the Alberta border. SCS stated that their teams are working to capture the unique industries and landscapes of the province, implying these seven cities are just the starting point.
Map integration and cross-border routes
The new DLC will attach to the upper-left side of the existing map. This placement is strategic, allowing for direct driving routes into Washington, Idaho, and Montana. For players who have spent hours hauling freight across the US states, this means you can soon plan trips that start in Seattle or Spokane and end up in Canadian towns.
There is no confirmed release date yet. Given that the Illinois DLC launched less than a month ago, it is unlikely to drop immediately. However, SCS has already teased future expansions, with South Dakota and Indiana slated for release after British Columbia.

If you are a fan of the series, this expansion significantly increases replayability by adding international logistics elements. While border control mechanics have not been detailed, the integration with existing US states suggests seamless travel between countries.
