NVIDIA’s RTX Spark platform, unveiled at Computex 2026, promised to redefine mobile computing by merging a 20-core ARM CPU with a Blackwell GPU into a single “superchip.” While early expectations pointed toward heavy mobile workstations, Lenovo is taking a different approach with its latest premium lineup. Through exclusive high-resolution images, we can now see the Lenovo Yoga 9n 2-in-1 and the accompanying Yoga Pro 9n, confirming that Lenovo is bringing this massive silicon into a flexible, convertible form factor aimed at creators and power users.
#1 The Yoga 9n 2-in-1: RTX Spark Meets Convertible Design
The Yoga 9n 2-in-1 borrows heavily from the design language of the Intel-powered Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition, but the internal architecture tells a completely different story. The chassis features a premium aluminum build, showcased in Lenovo’s “Cosmic Blue” finish. The defining characteristic remains the iconic 360-degree rotating soundbar hinge, which allows the device to transition seamlessly between laptop, tent, stand, and tablet modes.
A closer look at the keyboard reveals a refined, edge-to-edge layout complete with the mandatory Copilot key, affirming its status as a next-generation Copilot+ PC. The display appears to be a 14-inch panel, likely reusing the stunning 2.8K PureSight Pro OLED from the Intel variant, framed by minimal bezels. The top lip houses an IR webcam module for Windows Hello, complete with a physical privacy shutter.
The device is shown in tent and tablet modes alongside the Yoga Pen Gen 2, suggesting a strong focus on creative workflows. Port selection closely mirrors its Intel predecessor: the left side features an HDMI port, a USB-A port, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, while the right side houses another USB-A port, a second USB-C port, and the power button.
#2 The Yoga Pro 9n: A Direct MacBook Pro Challenger
Alongside the convertible, Lenovo is introducing the Yoga Pro 9n, a 15-inch powerhouse designed to compete directly with Apple’s MacBook Pro. This model carries a larger 15-inch display and features a magnetic pen holder built into the lid, along with a large haptic trackpad that doubles as a drawing surface.
Audio enthusiasts will appreciate the 6-speaker setup with 4 woofers and 2 tweeters tuned with Dolby Atmos. Interestingly, unlike the 2-in-1 convertible, the Yoga Pro 9n ditches the number pad in the keyboard deck, likely to accommodate the beefier speakers and cooling infrastructure required for the RTX Spark chip.
Ports include HDMI, USB-A, and USB-C on the left, and a full-size SD card reader, USB-C 10Gbps, and USB-A on the right. Notably, USB-C handles charging, as the RTX Spark architecture drops the old proprietary Lenovo power plug. Lenovo has confirmed all-day battery life for this model, a critical factor given the power demands of the unified memory architecture.
Understanding the RTX Spark Advantage
The beating heart of both laptops is the NVIDIA RTX Spark (N1X). This single, unified chip pairs a 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU, utilizing MediaTek-designed ARM cores, with a Blackwell GPU packing 6,144 CUDA cores. Because it uses a unified memory architecture with up to 128GB of LPDDR5X, data does not need to travel between separate CPU and GPU RAM pools. NVIDIA rates this setup at up to 1 petaflop of AI performance.
Putting this much power into a thin chassis requires serious software optimization. Microsoft is actively rebuilding the Windows 11 task scheduler to handle the heterogeneous architecture of the RTX Spark. This means Windows 11 will be much smarter about assigning background tasks to the efficiency cores while reserving heavy lifting for the Blackwell GPU. Furthermore, NVIDIA is preparing its N1X GPU drivers for Windows 11 to ensure tools like CUDA, DLSS, and standard PC games run flawlessly on the ARM architecture.
As NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated, the RTX Spark can run all apps in Windows 11. However, for users hesitant about jumping to ARM, the sheer brute force of the RTX Spark combined with the Windows 11 Prism emulator should smooth over any issues from running x86 legacy apps. The move to Windows on Arm also aligns with Microsoft’s long-term strategy to deliver superior battery life and instant-on capabilities across its ecosystem.
