The recent promotion at Newegg offering a $100 Microsoft gift card for $83 is now marked as expired. Shoppers attempting to use promo code FTTF6926 will no longer see the $17 discount applied at checkout.
Deal status and details
Newegg had listed the digital gift card at a reduced price, effectively giving buyers instant savings on credit for the Microsoft Store. The offer required applying the specific code FTTF6926 during the transaction to deduct the $17 difference.
This promotion appeared to be a short-term effort to compete with other major retail sales events, such as Amazon Prime Day. These types of limited-time discounts on gift cards typically vanish quickly once the promotional window closes or inventory limits are reached.
How redemption works
If you purchased the card while it was active, the code is delivered digitally via email rather than through physical mail. To add the funds to your account:
- Navigate to https://redeem.microsoft.com/
- Sign in with the Microsoft account linked to your Xbox profile
- Enter the 25-character code provided by Newegg
Your account balance updates immediately after redemption. You can then select “Microsoft Account Balance” as your payment method during checkout on any Microsoft service.
What you can buy with the credit
Despite the branding often associated with Xbox, this credit applies to your entire Microsoft ecosystem. It is not restricted to console games or digital downloads for the Xbox Series X|S.
You can use the balance for:
- Digital games and DLC on Xbox
- Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions
- Hardware accessories like controllers
- Surface devices and Windows software
- Microsoft 365 (Office) subscriptions
The credit does not expire, allowing you to stack multiple gift cards if you are saving up for a larger purchase, such as a new handheld device or a premium subscription tier.
